Different drivers are available to connect to various databases depending upon the server operating system you are using.

There are two different ODBC products available: DataDirect Connect® for ODBC and DataDirect SequeLink® for ODBC.

DataDirect Connect® v4.0 for ODBC offers reliable, high performance database connectivity to all major databases across all major platforms. New “wire protocol” drivers eliminate the need for database client software to simplify administration and speed performance. The DataDirect Connect® for ODBC product allows a Mac client to connect directly to a database. DataDirect Connect® for ODBC V3.51 driver is a non-carbonized driver for OS 8.x to 9.1, allowing Mac clients to connect to Microsoft SQL 6.5, 7.0 Oracle 8, and text sources. For a free 30-day trial, click here to download. Connect for V3.51 is an older version and is no longer supported by DataDirect.

DataDirect Sequelink® ODBC contains two components: one is installed on the Mac client (OS 8.x and 9.x only) and the other is installed on your server. The client then bridges through the server component to connect to your database. Please refer to this compatibility matrix to see if a driver is available for your server OS and your database.
