The FMConnector™ is a Visual Basic (VB) component. The new version 1.2.4 is 300% faster than the previous version, offers a greatly simplified object model that reduces the amount of code you have to write. As well, the new version includes a Registry component (used for reading and writing to the registry), an Encryption component (used for encrypting and decrypting files), as well as a Licensing component (simplifies the licensing process of your own components developed for the FMConnector™).

The FMConnector™ is being marketed through a joint venture between Datavations and STB Research bv. This add-in allows a VB or ASP developer to seamlessly integrate an external Windows® application with FileMaker® Pro. This can be an external application that enhances any FileMaker® Pro solution, such as the FMComponents™, or it can be used as a bridge to link to other applications that expose their APIs to VB or ASP, such as SalesLogix®, Microsoft Office®, QuickBooks®, and thousands of other Windows® applications.
